Is one day enough for Ngorongoro Crater?

Starting out of Arusha, you would spend a couple of nights at either Tarangire National Park or Lake Manyara, before continuing on to the Ngorongoro Crater. The Crater can be explored in one day and accommodation is usually set outside the reserve

Can you self drive in Ngorongoro Crater?

Yes, you can do a self-drive safari in the Ngorongoro Crater. The park wardens at the NCA entrance gate will advise you to take a ranger-guide, but this is not compulsory, and not needed in our opinion either.

What is the best time to visit Ngorongoro Crater?

June is one of the best times to visit the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The ‘long rains’ have come to an end and game drives are relatively less crowded. Peak season for a safari in the Ngorongoro Crater only kicks off towards the end of June or in early July.

Is it worth going to Ngorongoro Crater?
