    Overview

2-Days 1-Night Kilimanjaro Trekking Shira Plateau

This is a 2 days and 1 night trekking on Mount Kilimanjaro to Shira Plateau which offers a fantastic opportunity to get high on a HUGE but not to the ICE top of the Giant Mount Kilimanjaro, the awesome World Heritage Site for 2 days trip through Londorosi gate and Morum hill. Through the trekking, you cannot expect to find animals, but still there are some residence wildlife on the plateau, such as Black and White Colobus Monkey, herds of buffalo as well as smaller gazelles and bushbuck, and the carcasses of eland and elephant higher on the mountain prove that also these larger animals are often visitors of the area. Mount Kilimanjaro Shira Plateau is one of the most fascinating and scenic areas among other high altitude in the world. It is a wise choice to pay a visit just to explore the ridges, moorland and amazing landscapes. Shira is a large, rocky plateau whose landscape is shaped by the lava that came from Mount Kilimanjaro when volcano was active. The plateau allows you to get a taste of this spectacular mountain and its many ecosystems and also provides a stunning view of the perpetually snow-capped peak of the world’s tallest free-standing mountain, the highest peak in Africa, Kilimanjaro. A great way to say that you’ve climbed ‘on’ Kili too!
